Lifetime Center for Child Development (Queens Village) is planning to make capital improvements to its campus and seeks advice about financing alternatives.

**Brainstorming Session will be in person, on June 15, at 5.30 pm in Manhattan.**

Nonprofit: Lifeline Center for Child Development

The mission of Lifeline Center for Child Development is to empower children to develop and use their behavioral tools so that they may reach their full potential in academic, social, and family arenas during childhood, and continue to live their full potential in adulthood. At Lifeline, children with mental illness, and their families, will find the resources to meet their needs, from early childhood through early adulthood, in a nurturing, progressive, and informed environment. Lifeline’s main campus is in Queens Village and the organization has operations in other NYC boroughs.

Project: Finance/Operations

The Lifeline Center for Child Development would like to expand its capacity to serve more children and their families by renovating its campus in Queens Village. The organization has a balanced budget, a reserve/endowment fund, and good cash flow.  Lifeline seeks advice about how to finance its renovation.

The objective of the project is to:

  • How to best finance physical plant renovations.
  • Time considerations for financing options: loans, withdrawals from the endowment, etc.
  • Maintain focus on Lifeline’s mission.
