CUNY’s Office of Careers and Industry Partnerships wants a targeted marketing approach to attract funding, buttress training programs, and achieve improved outcomes

**The project will be done virtually.**

Nonprofit: City University of New York (CUNY)

Founded in 1847 as the nation’s first free public institution of higher education, CUNY is America’s largest urban public university. It is a transformative engine of social mobility and a critical component of the lifeblood of New York City. More than 80 percent of the University’s graduates stay in New York. The University’s historic mission continues to this day: provide a public first-rate education to all students, regardless of means or background.

Project: Marketing

With 25 campuses citywide, 250,00 degree-seeking students plus many tens of thousands in non-degree programs, CUNY offers a broad and scalable impact. Though vigorous corporate foundation support exists elsewhere, too little of CUNY’s present funding comes from corporate sources. CUNY needs to express its potential effects to the corporate audience.

The objective of the project is to:

  • Conduct a market analysis of corporate philanthropy going toward education and training.
  • Recommend a strategic approach to attract more funding.
  • Develop a marketing plan to solicit grants.
