Child care programs, including TGCW’s, are imperiled. Project team will deliver a S.W.O.T. analysis to assess the future outlook of this 75-year-old program.

The Guidance Center of Westchester’s mission is to improve the well-being of people of all ages through innovative and effective programs that enable everyone to learn, work, and thrive. TGCW offers essential and lasting support to underrepresented populations who are challenged by mental illness, substance use, poverty and homelessness.

Project: Strategic S.W.O.T. Assessment

TGCW operates a preschool child care program in New Rochelle, NY which includes a mix of 94 special education and typical children in an integrated setting. A portion of the child care program has been challenged by funding and payment issues. TGCW has requested a S.W.O.T. analysis to inform its decision-making regarding the future role and potential of this program.
