The Transition Network seeks help in reviewing the financial/cash management practices of its headquarters office and its affiliated chapters.

Nonprofit: The Transition Network

The Transition Network (TTN) is an inclusive community of professional women, 50 and forward, whose changing life situations lead them to seek new connections, resources and responsibilities. TTN since its beginning 20 years ago has provided women with interesting programs and educational activities and opportunities to connect with their peers, locally and across the country. An “army of women” can make a difference in the world. During this time of pandemic it is even more important to build and maintain bonds.

Project: Review of financial/cash management operations

HBS alumni with management accounting, audit, and financial controls experience would be useful for this project. Also those experienced with an organization that has affiliated branches/chapters apart from a headquarters office.

  • Review the cash management of the national organization and its affiliated chapters.
  • Evaluate whether the current financial management system meets appropriate accounting standards.
  • Create flexibility in the system because some chapters are more active than others and some are larger than others.
