Nonprofit: Greenbelt Native Plant Center

The Natural Areas Conservancy coordinates with the Greenbelt Native Plant Center to provide native plants and seeds in support of the restoration and management of New York City’s parks. As part of the NYC Parks Department, GNPC works toward the long-term sustainability of natural resources through plant and seed production programs, research, and education that conserves and increases the biodiversity of NYC’s parkland.

Project: Strategy

Support the development of strategic options to increase the operational efficiency of the Greenbelt Native Plant Center. Conduct a SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) analysis of the center. Develop materials that will support NYC Parks and the Natural Areas Conservancy efforts to secure stronger policy and financial support.
