Support LaGuardia’s merging all career services and placement functions into one school-wide department.
**This project will be done virtually.**
Founded in 1971 near the East River in Queens, and long since committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, LaGuardia offers a welcoming environment for immigrants and individuals of all backgrounds. A recognized innovator now in sync with an evolving national focus, LaGuardia is helping change the thinking about two-year colleges, their place in workforce development and their role in strengthening our economy. The College’s mission is to educate a diverse student population to become critical thinkers and socially responsible citizens who elevate themselves and help shape a rapidly evolving society.
Pre-COVID approximately 30,000 students annually attended LaGuardia Community College, equally divided between Associate Degree and non-credit Certificate program students. The college needs help to strategically combine disparate career services functions into one department, defining its structure, strengthening employer outreach, and setting meaningful goals.
