Throughout the Covid 19 crisis, we’ve actively supported nonprofits by transitioning our pro bono consulting support to virtual formats as we welcomed many new alumni volunteers.
We introduced Office Hour Consults (Application) to quickly connect our most experienced pro bono consultants with organizations seeking immediate assistance as they confront tremendous new challenges in service provision and funding.
Our Action Item communication campaign, #nfpcovidresponse, was broadly distributed to share bite-sized actionable advice each week with links to relevant and targeted information resources curated by our leadership team.
In addition to probono consulting for local nonprofits, Community Partners drives a range of social enterprise programs for the Harvard Business School Club of New York, including:
Our alumni volunteers build innovative workforce development solutions, linking together NYC job seekers, education providers, and employers needing to fill healthcare and tech positions.
At Community Partners, we recognize and provide monetary awards to local nonprofits that have demonstrated outstanding management and governance practices.
Each year we provide NY area nonprofit leaders with full scholarships to attend HBS Executive Education programs on nonprofit management, strategy, and performance measurement.
We host speaker events, panel discussions, and case studies led by HBS professors, focused on current social enterprise issues relating to both nonprofit and for-profit sectors.
In 2020, HBS alumni volunteers made significant contributions to strengthen the nonprofit community, sharing their business skills with leaders of local organizations.
