Nonprofit: Hamilton Madison House (HMH)

HMH operates the largest nonprofit outpatient mental health clinic of its kind on the East Coast and serves the diverse, mostly lower-income, residents of the Lower East Side and broader NYC. It addresses the mental wellbeing of community residents through outpatient treatment, prevention, and psychiatric assessment services including the treatment of serious mental illness and substance use disorders. The majority of its staff members / clinicians are immigrants or first-generation Americans offering treatment across 11 Asian languages and dialects.

Project: Marketing Strategy

This is a one-session brainstorming session to help HMH develop a targeted marketing and referral strategy to increase client volume in its behavioral health clinics (with specialize in severe mental illness as well as other services) and broaden its payer mix beyond mostly Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement.

The objective of the project is to:

  • Ideas to build awareness & differentiate from competition
  • Ideas to grow clinician capacity utilization
  • Ideas for client targets beyond Medicare & Medicaid recipients
